"Friends of the Cupboard" Community Meetings
The Upper Valley MEND Board of Directors will be hosting 2 "Friends of the Cupboard" community meetings, on:
Wednesday, January 27th from 12:00 to 1:30 pm, and
Thursday, January 28th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
Meetings will be co-sponsored by the Barn Beach Reserve, and held in the Sunroom of the River Haus (not the Barn), 347 Division Street in Leavenworth.
The purpose of these meetings is to collect feedback with regard to how well we are serving the community at the Community Cupboard. Our question is this: Are we doing the best job possible serving the needs of our clients, and serving the needs of those volunteers and donors who serve through us?
Some of the areas that will be looked at include:
- Hours of operation
- How we accept, process, appreciate, record and report on donations
- How we recruit, train and support our volunteers
- Staff roles and responsibilities, both in the Cupboard as well as the MEND office
- How we protect the privacy and insure we are adequately serving the needs of people who are coming to us for food, emergency financial support or shelter
This is an important opportunity for the community to share any comments, concerns or questions it has about the Community Cupboard, and for the Board to gather important feedback necessary for building on strengths and making improvements where needed.
