4th Annual Upper Valley Crop Walk
COME WALK WITH US!
The 4th Annual Upper Valley Crop Walk will take place on Sunday, May 23rd @ 1:00 PM.
What is a Crop Hunger Walk?
Crop Walk was founded by Church World Services in 1946, and today, some 2,000 communities accross the US sponsor Crop Hunger Walks each year. The Upper Valley Crop Walk is sponsored by Teens for Christ, an eccumenical Youth Group based at the Peshastin United Church of Christ. It involves neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together, we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting. 25% of all funds raised remain in the local community. This year all local funds have been designated for THE COMMUNITY CUPBOARD.
The 4.5 mile route takes us from Leavenworth to Peshastin via North Road. Walk through the orchard country and enjoy sweeping views of the Enchantments and the Wenatchee River while experiencing a special fellowship with all of the other participants. A special "Golden Mile" is also available for anyone who wishes to participate but is not able to walk the full distance of 4.5 miles.
