Needed Items for the Cupboard

The Community Cupboard is always accepting quality donations of thrift store items, as well as food for our food bank.  Needs often change as the seasons change, but some of our needs remain constant.
                      We are always in need of the following items for our food bank:

  • Protein
    • Peanut butter
    • Canned meat, ham, chicken, tuna
    • Hearty soups, chili, stews (low sodium)
    • Macaroni & cheese, boxed dinners
    • Beans (kidney, pinto, navy, black, refried, etc.)
  • Fruits and Vegetables
    • Canned fruits & vegetables (low sugar)
    • 100% canned or boxed juices (low sugar)
    • Boxed mashed potatoes
    • Dried fruit
  • Whole Grain Foods
    • Pasta
    • Rice
    • Healthy Cereals (low sugar and fat)
    • Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat

We are also currently in need of the following non-food items for our thrift store:

  • Kitchen utensils (forks, knives, spoons, can openers, spatulas, etc.)
  • Kitchen pots and pans
  • Bake ware
  • Bedding supplies (Blankets, sheets, etc.)
  • Outdoor                     gear
  • Ski wear
  • Tools

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

When you grocery shop, pick up a few of these extra food items and drop them off at the Community Cupboard.  And when you're sifting through your house, during a spring cleaning session or when you're simply trying to tidy up, keep your eye out for some of the thrift store items listed here.
