How to get and give help
after the 2025 storms
The storm that hit our Upper Valley community caused a lot of damage to people’s homes and disrupted many parts of daily life.
But, luckily, we live in a community where neighbors help neighbors!
This page is a resource for those who are looking for resources to rebuild after the storm, and for those who would like to lend a hand.
It will be updated as more information becomes available. Email us if you would like to add to this list.
January 2026 Update:
Donations will be matched!
A group of anonymous donors is matching up to $15,000 in donations to MEND to help with long-term storm recovery.
Click the button above to give today. Thank you!
Need help with food? The Community Cupboard food pantry is open to anyone. It has a wide variety of food items, and you get to choose what to bring home, like a grocery store. Whether you lost food during the power outage or are looking for help for any other reason, you are welcome.
A reminder to our regular shoppers: Every family has 30 bonus points they can use 4 times per year. Now might be a great time to use them!
The Cupboard is located at 219 14th St in Leavenworth. It is open M-F from 11 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday 11 AM - 2 PM.

Give help:
Support MEND:
Donate funds. A donation to Greatest Need will ensure we can meet the most urgent needs in our community.
Donate food to the Community Cupboard. Donations are accepted M-F from 11 AM - 5 PM and Saturdays 11 AM - 2 PMat the Community Cupboard. If you want to organize a food drive, please contact Rachel Bishop, Food Programs Manager to coordinate a drop off time. (This is really important!)
Shop at Das Thrift. Need to replace goods in your house? Consider shopping second-hand at our thrift store. Your purchase supports your neighbors through MEND’s programs.
Sign up to volunteer. Our staff is working hard to support our community right now, so there might be a delay in volunteer training. But signing up ensures you’re ready to help our community in the future!
Support other organizations and businesses:
The Wenatchee River Institute sustained damage to structures and trees and canceled or rescheduled programs. You can help support them by making a donation. MEND rents our main office space in WRI’s building — your support is much appreciated!
Support Eastside Rebuild, who are offering tools, materials, and volunteer help for clean up.
Check out this page on Colchuck Consignment’s website with volunteer opportunities and resources for those who need them.
Thank your local PUD workers!
Thank the Cascadia Conservation District, who is offering chipping services.
Support local downtown businesses, who lost a weekend of crucial holiday income.
This list will grow as we hear more.
