Andy Seikel

Andy and his wife Maureen moved to Leavenworth in 2022 from the Chicago area — you may have already spotted them around town on their tandem bicycle. Andy and Maureen were impressed with Upper Valley MEND from the moment they first read about the organization before their move, and are excited to be living full-time in Leavenworth and contributing to the community.

Andy brings experience that spans both the corporate and nonprofit worlds. He spent nearly 30 years as a Managing Director at Accenture, leading large-scale technology and supply chain transformation programs for Fortune 100 companies across consumer goods, retail, and agribusiness. He then turned his energy toward the nonprofit sector, joining the Greater Chicago Food Depository — the food bank serving Chicago and Cook County that provides food to over 200,000 households each month — first as a volunteer helping build their technology roadmap, and then as Head of Technology and Transformation. In that role, he brought skills that helped the Food Depository become recognized by peers for its effective use of technology in support of its mission. He has also served as president of a small industrial bearings distribution and manufacturing business. While still working as a consultant, Andy was honored to be part of a group of IT professionals recognized with a Computerworld Smithsonian Award for innovative use of technology to benefit society.

Outside of work, Andy loves to hike, bike, and snowboard, and is happily getting to know every corner of this beautiful part of the world.
