Originally from a small town in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, Catalina has lived in Washington since 1995. The move marked the beginning of a new chapter, and over the years she has built strong roots in the Upper Valley.

Catalina loves her role as manager of Das Thrift Haus because it allows her to help others and support the meaningful work Upper Valley MEND does for the community. She values being part of an organization that makes a real difference and is deeply connected to its mission of serving those in need.

Catalina and her husband Carlos have three children—Samantha, Nicole, and Alexander—and she is also a proud grandmother to Jaylinn, who brings her great joy.
