Greg Steeber | President

Greg first visited Leavenworth and the Upper Wenatchee Valley in 1970, after volunteering at Holden Village. Over the next several years, he frequently visited friends and co-workers from Holden who had moved here. Developing a strong connection to the area and the community, Greg finally moved to Leavenworth in 1980 and worked as a family physician over the next decade. He and his family then moved to Minnesota, where he worked for HealthPartners for the next 28 years. He, Mary and their two daughters, visited Leavenworth annually and maintained a home and many friends here during this time. He has served on the boards of Holden Village and the St Olaf College Alumni Council. Greg retired in 2017 after 40 years as an active family practice physician and he and Mary returned to live in Leavenworth. They had known about Upper Valley MEND and its commitment to strengthening this community over the years through their active participation in Faith Lutheran Church. Greg is pleased to now be able to more actively help Upper Valley MEND fulfil its mission of assisting all people to meet their needs.
