Michelle Tiegel
Michelle has lived in the Upper Valley for over 25 years. She first came to the area as a seasonal worker at Lake Wenatchee State Park and worked her way up to Assistant Park Manager. After 14 years with Washington State Parks, she transitioned to the nonprofit sector, where she has worked with both the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and Icicle Fund. Her experience spans both fundraising and grantmaking, giving her a deep appreciation for the many organizations working to help the community thrive.
Wanting to play a greater role in giving back locally, Michelle began volunteering at the Community Cupboard in 2025 and hopes to further support Upper Valley MEND through board service. She values the way this community comes together to care for one another and strives to pass that ethic on to her children.
Michelle and her husband are raising two teenagers and, as a family, enjoy exploring the outdoors on foot, bike, and skis. While the granite peaks and endless trails first brought her to the area, it is the strength and spirit of the community that have kept her here.
